Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh will be released in theaters in April 2026 on the occasion of Baisakhi. This will be the second film with Imtiaz Ali and Dosanjh. Earlier, both the film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, which came in 2024, was highly appreciated by the audience.
The upcoming film will also feature Naseeruddin Shah, Sharawari and Vedang Raina. Imtiaz Ali said in an official statement, “Can love really lose? Can someone’s heart be taken away from his heart? This film is related to heart. Its canvas is big, but the story is very close to the heart. It is a story of a boy and girl, but also a story of a country.”
He said, “We hope that the film will bring a poignant experience for the audience in theaters next year.” In this film, Imtiaz Ali, AR Rahman and Irshad Kamil are again working together, who have given some of their most memorable songs in films like ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’, ‘Tamasha’ and ‘Rockstar’.
The shooting of the film will begin in August this year. Imtiaz Ali and Diljit Dosanjh’s previous film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ was also released in 2024 on the occasion of Baisakhi.
