Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital on Wednesday morning. Before this, Dharmendra’s family decided to get him treated at home. The doctor treating him gave this information to ‘PTI-Bhasha’. Actor Dharmendra (89) was repeatedly hospitalized for the last few weeks. Dr. Pratit Samdani said, “Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital at around 7.30 in the morning.” He will be treated at home as the family has decided to get him treated at home.

Veteran actor Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on November 10. His condition improved on Tuesday. Last week also he was admitted to the same hospital for routine checkup. During the day, his wife Hema Malini, son Sunny Deol and other family members came to meet him. Actors Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan also went to meet the veteran actor to inquire about his well being.

The PR rep said, “Mr. Dharmendra is stable and has been kept under observation. Further comments and updates will be shared as they become available. Please do not spread false rumors about his health. Everyone is requested to pray for his speedy recovery and respect the family’s right to privacy.”

Hema Malini condemns ‘false news’ of Dharmendra’s demise

Dharmendra’s wife and veteran actress Hema Malini has also strongly criticized the spread of false news of his demise. On Twitter, he expressed his disappointment over the “irresponsible behavior” of some media outlets. She posted, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about someone who is responding to treatment and recovering? This is extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please fully respect the family and their need for privacy.”
