DGP Gaurav Yadav suspended 2 DSPs of Tarn Taran, filed FIR against Akali leaders during by-election

Major action has been taken against 2 Tarn Taran police officers. 2 DSP’s of Tarn Taran have been suspended. This action has been taken after the orders of DGP Gaurav Yadav. DSP Harinder Singh and DSP Gulzar Singh have been suspended. The whole matter is connected with Tarn Taran by-elections. Let us tell you that during the by-elections, Shiromani Akali Dal leaders were arrested and an FIR was registered against them. A petition was filed in the Punjab-Haryana High Court by the Akali leaders regarding this.

The police filed an FIR against 30 people including Kanchanpreet Kaur Randhawa, the daughter of Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa, state president of Shiromani Akali Dal IT wing Nachhatar Singh Gill and arrested 12 people. And all of them were also granted bail by the courts related to Tarn Taran district.

It may be mentioned that a petition was filed by Akali Dal in the matter of picking up Nachhatar Singh Gill from Ranjit Avenue. During the hearing of this petition, the court declared the arrest of Nachhatar Singh Gill as illegal and ordered his immediate release. And the court was asked to present the record related to the arrest, but during the same hearing, the matter of negligence in presenting the record also surfaced due to which 2 DSPs were suspended by the DGP.
