After the incident, the Indian High Commission in Canberra has raised the issue with Australian officials. This embassy has been a victim of such incidents before. During international tension, inflammatory slogans were written on the walls earlier.

Police said- incident took place on Wednesday-Thursday night

A Victoria Police spokesman said, ‘We feel that someone has made marks at the main gate of the building at some time between Wednesday and Thursday night. The investigation of this loss is still going on.

The police have not yet told whether a suspect has been identified or not. He appealed to the people that if someone has any information about this incident, then come forward.

Indian High Commission raised the issue in front of Australian officials

The Indian High Commission reported in the X post on Friday that the incident has been raised with Australian officials. He wrote, ‘In Melbourne, the derogatory act of mischievous elements on the walls of the Indian Consulate in Melbourne has been raised with Australian authorities. All necessary steps are being taken to ensure the safety of employees with Indian diplomatic and consulat building in the country.

Indian community of Australia said- they try to scare us

The Indian-Australian community has expressed concern about this incident. The people of the community said that Hindu temples and Indian government buildings are constantly being targeted. An Indian-Australian citizen said, “These are not just wall marks- this is an attempt to scare our community.”
