Delhi Pradesh Congress leaders demonstrated against Rekha Gupta

Key leaders of the Delhi unit of the Congress on Thursday protested against Chief Minister Rekha Gupta over the dire state of air pollution in the national capital and her “non-fulfillment” of several election promises.

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devendra Yadav, party’s Delhi in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin, former minister Haroon Yusuf and many other leaders gathered at the Congress office ’24 Akbar Road’ and accused the Delhi Chief Minister of breach of promise.

Nizamuddin said, “When I became an MLA in Uttarakhand, I saw a serious Chief Minister like Narayan Dutt Tiwari.” Delhi has once seen a serious Chief Minister like Sheila Dikshit ji, but today Delhi has a Chief Minister who does not even think before speaking.” He claimed that there is no word in Rekha Gupta’s dictionary to provide relief to the people of Delhi.

The Congress leader sarcastically said, “It is also possible that the officials do not take them seriously, they do not even listen to them.” Nizamuddin alleged, “There is no listening to the public on issues like pollution. The people of Delhi are suffering due to the jugalbandhi between Aam Aadmi Party and BJP.

Devendra Yadav alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta talked big but did no work on the ground. He said, “BJP had promised the mothers and sisters of Delhi that free LPG cylinders will be sent on Holi-Diwali and Rs 2,500 will be sent to women every month. The mothers and sisters of Delhi are still waiting for the fulfillment of these promises. At the same time, whenever Rekha Gupta ji is reminded of her promises, she becomes speechless.
