Delhi High Court will now hear on Saturday, what is the reason? Learn the reason

The court proceedings will continue on Saturday in the Delhi High Court on Saturday. According to the notification issued from the office of Delhi High Court Registrar General Arun Bhardwaj, the full bench has decided in its meeting held on September 22, 2025 that every bench of this court will take every month of every month as Working Day. Earlier in the High Court, all sold on leave on Saturday. Some judges used to organize special benches on this day when needed. A few days ago, the Delhi High Court had also changed the functioning of its registry. Now the High Court Registry works from 10 am to 5 pm in all working days.

More than 28,000 cases were sent for mediation during the three -month campaign run by the High Court in the district courts of the Delhi High Court and the National Capital. A total of 4,316 cases were settled and 13,938 cases are still pending for settlement.

The High Court said that these figures show that the arbitration campaign was a major success. The campaign was carried out from 1 July 2025 to 30 September, 2025. It was part of a nationwide initiative envisaged by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) in collaboration with the Chief Justice of India BR Gawai and the Executive Chairman of Nalsa, Justice Suryakant of the Supreme Court (MCPC).
