Delhi High Court sought a reply from the Indian Boxing Federation on its petition related to its elections

The Delhi High Court on Thursday summoned a reply to the Indian Boxing Federation on a petition requesting a request to ban the circular issuing notification for its elections to be held on August 21.

Justice Mini Pushkaran issued notices to the Indian Boxing Federation (BFI) and the Center on the petition of the Delhi Amateur Boxing Federation. The Amateur Federation has requested the BFI’s interim committee to cancel the circular issued on August 1 on August 21.

The court said, “In view of the sensitivity of the case and the urgency expressed by the parties, it is directed that a final hearing should be held on the next date of hearing. The parties are directed to fulfill their arguments.”

Justice Pushkaran made it clear that the BFI elections would be “subject to the result of the current writ petition”. He adjourned the hearing of the case till 18 August.

The Amateur Federation also requested to cancel the August 1 of BFI Email, allegedly notified the new rules and regulations of the BFI.

The petition requested the court to pass an order to hold elections as per the current rules of BFI and the new polling officer should be appointed in advance. The term of the previous BFI officials ended on February 2. The elections were to be held earlier on March 28, but the process hanged due to many appeals and legal disputes, including copy.
