Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that a stable India contributes to a stable global economy. He said that through Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the Center is building a defense industrial ecosystem that encourages innovation, supports industry and reduces external dependence. He addressed ‘Chanakya Raksha Samvad’ in the national capital on Friday.

India’s ethical approach to emerging technologies, be it artificial intelligence, cyber or space, sets standards that other countries look to, reinforces our commitment to peace, climate responsibility and humanitarian values, and provides moral strength to international cooperation. Thus, friends, a strong, secure and developed India does not remain isolated; Rather, it becomes a force for good, a nation that reinforces global peace and human well-being.
He said that to ensure that this positive impact translates into lasting strength, the Government is strengthening national capacity with focused reforms. He further said that we are strengthening border and maritime infrastructure to boost both security and connectivity. We are modernizing our forces through new platforms, technology and formations. We are improving procurement processes to ensure speed, transparency and accountability. Through self-reliance, we are building a defense industrial ecosystem that encourages innovation, supports industry and reduces external dependence.

He further said that the Central Government is investing in startups, deep technological capabilities and R&D that will shape the future battlefields.
