Jyoti was murdered on November 3, 2024, a resident of Suraj Nagar, Shimlapuri, his cousin Nirmal Singh. Confirming the incident, Ludhiana Central Jail Superintendent Shivraj Singh Nandgarh told the media that Jatinder hung herself from a window grill, which he had built above the door.
He climbed the door and then hung himself from the grill using a Parna. Some prisoners saw his body and informed him. The superintendent said that we questioned the fellow prisoners with whom Jatinder used to spend time. According to him, Jatinder was normal till night.
He said that Jatinder was worried about only one thing: that he would be convicted in the murder case as the victims who filed a case against him have some video evidence of the murder.
The official said that judicial inquiry will be done in this case as per the procedure. The family of the deceased has also been informed about the incident.
