Dead body lying on railway line, police reached the spot.
The body of a young man has been found under suspicious circumstances near platform number one of Bathinda railway station. A cigarette lighter and water bottle have been recovered from the deceased. Sandeep Gill of Sahara Jan Seva’s life savings brigade helpline team reached the spot.

The deceased was wearing a lower and shirt. The team immediately informed the GRP police station. GRP’s ASI Sukhpal Singh reached the spot with the police team. The deceased was searched, but no documents related to identity were found. According to officials, the deceased had been dead for more than four hours.
After the police action, the Sahara team rushed the body to the hospital for postmortem. ASI Sukhpal Singh said that the investigation of the case is going on. Further action will be taken only after the identification of the deceased.
