7 people have died after a gas cylinder burst on Monday night in the Pathar statue area of South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Those who died include 4 children and 2 women. At the same time, an injured woman has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
According to SP Koteshwar Rao in Sunderban district, the accident took place at around 9 pm in Dholaghat village of Pathar statue block. All the bodies have been recovered. Those who die belong to the same family.
Initial investigation has revealed the police that 2 gas cylinders were blasted. Due to this, firecrackers kept in the house also burnt, causing fire and spread rapidly. 7 people died due to its grip.
