Customs’ big action in Mumbai: 4 crore hemp, drones, 4 smugglers with foreign animals caught

The Customs Department seized seven drones, hydroponic hemp and smuggled foreign animals at Mumbai Airport, about four crore rupees. Four passengers from Bangkok and Colombo have been arrested in this connection. The officers provided this information. An official said that the Customs Department caught a passenger from Colombo, whose trolley bags were hidden inside the bag, which has been priced at Rs 32.19 lakh.

This passenger was later arrested. Another official said that the personnel of the Customs Department seized hydroponic hemp from two passengers from Bangkok in two separate cases, which is a total weight of 3.8 kg and it costs around four crore rupees in the illegal market. Hydroponic cannabis causes water and ganja grown in a solution of nutrients with soil -free technology.

The official further stated that in another case, customs officials recovered foreign animals, including Iguana (19), Orange Beared Dragon (10), Rackoon (1 dead), Quinine Monitor Lizard (1 living), Squirrel (2 serious, 1 dead) and Central American Squiral Manki (2 dead). The official said wildlife species were hidden inside the trolley bag of a passenger from Bangkok. This passenger has also been arrested.
