Cow smuggling was going to happen on a large scale, 2 smugglers were arrested with a truck full of cows


Kotakpura: With the help of cow servants, the police have arrested a truck full of cows and two persons on National Highway No. 54. Meanwhile, three-four smugglers managed to escape by taking advantage of the darkness.

General Secretary of Cow Raksha Dal Punjab Baba Garib Das said that the Gupta information was received that cows are being loaded in a truck from Bathinda side and being taken to Jammu and Kashmir. A swift car is running ahead of the truck to protect the truck from the barriers. He said that on Tuesday night, the cow servants stopped the said car and three or four cow smugglers in it escaped by taking advantage of the darkness.

However, the driver of the car was arrested. On being informed, the police also reached the spot. After this the truck was also stopped. 18 cows and cows were recovered from the truck. The police have sent cows to Baba Malkit Das' cowshed and started searching for the smugglers.

SHO Manoj Kumar, ASI Sukhjit Singh said that a case has been registered against the car and truck driver in the case of cow smuggling. He was presented in court and remanded, during which he will be interrogated.
