Himanshu Malik, a young councilor of ward number 12 of Jagraon in Ludhiana district of Punjab, along with his fellow councilors, handed over the demand letter to Congress Punjab Chief Ludhiana MP Raja Wading. There has been a demand for the establishment of a modern indoor-cum-outdoor stadium in the city.

5-6 acres of vacant land available

Councilors mentioned in the letter that the land of freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai does not have the facility of proper stadium for the youth. Himanshu Malik said that 5-6 acres of vacant land is available near his ward and 5-6 acres in the next Dalla area. The proposed stadium can become the center of sports and empowerment not only for a ward but also for the youth of the entire Jagra. This is a long -standing demand of local youth.

MP asked to make an estimate

Councilor Malik said that MP Raja Wading asked him to send an estimate of up to 40 lakhs, so that a badminton stadium can be made as soon as possible. MP Raja Wading assured soon to take action on the councilor’s request. He said that he will definitely take appropriate steps for the youth of Jagra.
