Corona’s fury rises in Big Bash League, now Maxwell is positive


Australia’s star all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has also been hit by the corona. Maxwell is the captain of the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League. The Melbourne Stars have confirmed that Maxwell has been infected with the coronavirus.

Maxwell’s Rapid Antigen was tested and reported to be positive. Prior to Maxwell, 12 Melbourne Stars players and eight staff members were also infected with the corona virus. The Melbourne Stars have had to play without key players in their last few matches. However, the good news for the Stars is that about 10 players, including Adam Zampa, Marcus Stoinis and Nathan Coulter-Nile, are about to end the 7-day isolation period and may be available for the next match. The Melbourne Stars had to field local players in the match played on Monday.
