Chandigarh: In Punjab, the health department has reduced the corona tests. During the last 24 hours, 2703 samples have been sent for testing in the state. Out of these 148 samples have come back positive. A corona patient has died in Ludhiana of the state. While 9 level-2 patients have been kept on oxygen support in various private and government hospitals.
There is no Level-3 patient in the state who is on ventilator in the intensive care unit. With the arrival of 148 new cases in Punjab, the number of active corona cases has reached 1574. During the last 24 hours, 118 corona patients admitted to various government and private hospitals have been discharged after recovery.
8 districts got relief from Corona
Not a single positive case has come out of the samples sent for corona testing in 8 districts of Punjab. Only those samples are being collected and sent from hospitals, in which doctors see some symptoms. Those people are giving their samples, who need the Corona test report. Hence sample collection is less.
60 samples from Ropar, 37 from Nawanshahr, 107 from Pathankot, 81 from Muktsar, 17 from Moga, 21 from Fazilka, 6 from Faridkot, 22 from Barnala have been sent for testing. None of these results have been positive.
More cases are coming in Mohali and Ludhiana
Ever since the corona wave started, Mohali has been running at number one in the state. While the industrial city of Ludhiana is at the second number in terms of positive cases of Corona. In Mohali, 141 samples were sent for testing, out of which 43 have tested positive. Similarly, 24 out of 848 samples in Ludhiana have been found to be corona positive.
Patiala 19 out of 168 samples, Fatehgarh Sahib 16 out of 211, Amritsar 8 out of 42, Mansa 8 out of 224, Jalandhar 7 out of 72, Sangrur 6 out of 250, Tarn Taran 3 out of 14, Bathinda 37 out of 83 in Hoshiarpur. , 2 out of 92 in Ferozepur, 1 out of 37 in Kapurthala, 1 out of 11 in Malerkotla and 1 out of 122 in Gurdaspur have tested positive.
