A dialogue of the TV show ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ was very famous – ‘A Pagal Woman’. But do you know that this line was not in the script? Dilip Joshi had spoken it on the set himself and then it became so popular that people started repeating it. But later, the dialogue was disputed and it was removed from the show. This is not the first time. Many times there has been a ruckus on the dialogues and scenes of TV shows, causing the makers to replace or remove them. Let’s know about some similar cases.

Why was the ‘A Crazy Woman’ dialogue of ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ removed?
Recently, while talking to comedian Saurabh Pant in a podcast, Dilip Joshi said, ‘I had improvised this dialogue. Suddenly got out of the mouth during the scene. When it came on TV, people liked it very much. It became part of the fun between Jethalal and Dayaben. But some women’s organizations objected to this and said that it gives the wrong message. After this, the makers of the show removed it. Dilip Joshi said, ‘I was told not to say this from now on. Then we closed it. ‘

Controversy over the scene of ‘Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’
In 2004, a scene of ‘Sas Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ was ruined. In this, Shash (Akashdeep Sehgal) forced Nandini (Gauri Pradhan). The Women’s Commission objected to this and sent summons to Ekta Kapoor. After the dispute escalated, the makers had to remove this scene and take more care in showing such scenes from further.

Controversy over the image of nurses in ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’
In 2016, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ was accused of incorrectly showing nurses. Nursing staff of several medical colleges and hospitals in Amritsar demonstrated against the show. He said that nursing profession is being made fun of in the show and nurses are shown in glamorous and light-hearted manner, which hurts their dignity. As the protest increased, several nursing organizations demanded the makers to shut down such content. Kapil Sharma had to clarify as the matter progressed.

Controversy over the triple divorce scene of ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’
The story of the 2018 show ‘Ishq Subhan Allah’ was based on triple divorce. There were some scenes in the show to which Muslim organizations objected. As the dispute escalated, the makers had to clarify and some changes had to be made so that no one’s feelings would be hurt.

‘Powel Piya Ki’ – Uproar over the marriage of a 9 -year -old child
The TV show ‘Paharedar Piya Ki’ featured an 18 -year -old woman and a 9 -year -old boy. The audience found this story wrong. People called it ‘backward’ and demanded the government to ban it. After this, the Broadcasting Content Complaints Council (BCCC) ordered to change the timing of the show and give disclaimer. But when the protest increased, Sony TV closed the show on 28 August 2017

Why are dialogues and scenes removed in TV shows?
Millions of people watch TV, but everyone’s thinking is different. The scenes or dialogue makers feel good, they may often find the audience or any community wrong.
Sometimes a dialogue is accused of mocking, sometimes there is talk of hurting religious or social sentiments on a scene. When the protest increases, the makers have to be clarified and the content has to be changed.
