Actor Ejaz Khan, who has appeared in Bigg Boss season 7, is in the news these days for his new show ‘House Arrest’. However, now they are caught in legal difficulties. A case has been registered at the Amboli police station in Mumbai against others including Ejaz Khan for showing pornographic content in the show.
Know what is the whole matter
Actually, Ejaz Khan is hosting the show ‘House Arrest’ show. Recently some videos of the show went viral on social media, in which female contestants were seen taking off their clothes. Not only this, in a video, the contestants were also asked to give objectionable poses. Seeing this, many political personalities along with users also started criticizing the show and started demanding to ban it.
Online platform removed the show after seeing the matter growing
The show was being streamted on the owl app. But when the controversy over the content of the show deepened, the platform removed all its episodes. Due to bold and objectionable scenes, the OTT platform has also deleted it from its official website.
The entire case caught up further when the National Commission for Women (NCW) on 2 May issued summons to Vibhu Aggarwal and actor Ejaz Khan, CEO of the owl app. The commission has directed both of them to appear by 9 May.
The Saman has been accused of broadcasting pornographic content on the owl app. It is further said that on April 29, a clip of the show ‘House Arrest’ went viral on social media, in which Ejaz Khan was pressurizing women contestants to give objectionable poses in front of the camera. Some contestants were uncomfortable to do this task, but their displeasure was ignored.
The National Commission for Women says that this type of show is against the dignity of women and is called sexual harassment in the name of entertainment. He said that if the allegations made during the investigation are confirmed, it can become a serious criminal case under the Indian Code, 2023 and Information Technology Act, 2000.
