Rahul said- The banking sector has reached the crisis due to the poor economic policies of the BJP government.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said on Saturday that the Modi government has converted banks into collection agents. The government is looting money from common people in the name of service. He said- Between 2018 and 2024, the government has recovered about ₹ 43,500 crore from the public for not having minimum balance in Jan Dhan accounts.

In fact, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) issued a circular to increase the fees on May 28 for withdrawing money from ATM. According to the circular, from May 1, customers will have to pay additional Rs 2 for the next transaction for crossing the Monthly Free Transaction Limit from ATM. It will vary from home bank and other banks.

The free ATM transaction limit from the Home Bank (the bank in which your account is) in the metro cities is 5. You will have to pay 2 rupees more on the subsequent transactions. Currently, this charge is Rs 21, which will be Rs 23 from May 1.

Earlier on March 25, RBI increased the ATM interchange fees. That is, if you transact more than the free limit than the ATM of another bank, then you will have to pay 2 rupees more. Earlier it was 17 rupees, which has been increased to 19 rupees. The free transaction limit from another bank in Metro Cities is 3, while in non -metro cities it is 5.

RBI took this decision after ATM operators request RBI decided to revise these charges after a request by white-labeled ATM operators. ATM operators had argued that the growing operational expenses were impressing their business. The increase in ATM Charges will be applicable across the country. This can affect customers of small banks more.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, also criticized the economic policies of the BJP government and said that the Modi government has waived the loans of ₹ 16 lakh crore of its billionaire friends. This has led to the banking sector crisis.

Rahul Gandhi said that during the meeting with 782 former employees of ICICI Bank in Parliament, he came to know about the exploitation in the banking sector. If a bank employee discloses cases of illegal loan, he is tortured.

Rahul said that often the employees who disclosed are forcibly transferred, and are fired from the job without any process. He mentioned two cases, in which the employees committed suicide due to pressure.
