Congress workers in Fatehgarh Sahib and Khanna staged a strong protest against the Punjab government. Congress workers burnt effigies of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The District Congress Committee led the protest at Samrala Chowk in Khanna.

Former MLA and District President Lakhveer Singh Lakkha submitted a memorandum to Naib Tehsildar. He said that Chief Minister Mann should apologize for indecent language against Rahul Gandhi. Lakkha said that Rahul Gandhi has ended politics of hatred from the country. The Congress respects all religions and works for the unity of the country.

BJP is doing politics of hate

He accused the RSS and BJP of hate politics. Lakkha described the Aam Aadmi Party as BJP’s B team. He warned that if Maan did not apologize, the movement would be intensified.

The Congress has demanded to increase security on Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti on 14 April. Lakkha said that Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has threatened to harm the Ambedkar statues. He warned that if there is any damage to the statues, it would be the responsibility of the government.
