Congress General Secretary Venugopal described ‘vote theft’ as a threat to India’s integrity

Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said on Sunday that ‘vote theft’ was a threat to India’s integrity and accused the Center of “rigging the voter list”.

He said in a post on ‘X’, “The alleged vote theft and rigging in the voter list have given people confidence in the foundation of democracy.” Venugopal joined the nationwide ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhut’ signature campaign launched by the party on the issue. He participated in the campaign organized in his ward Kathwana in this coastal district on Sunday.

Alappuzha MP accused ‘X’ in a post, “Vote theft is not a minor offense. This is a major threat to our constitution, our economy, social justice and the integrity of India. ”

Venugopal said that the Congress will collect five crore signature across India. The Congress leader claimed that the campaign was gaining momentum as a mass movement, and he called upon every citizen who believes in democracy to protect the Constitution and to join this struggle to save the soul of India.
