The Congress Working Committee (CWC) met in Delhi on Wednesday. It includes some party leaders on Operation Sindoor, including Shashi Tharoor. His statements were discussed. Also accused the central government of politicization of Operation Sindoor.
According to the ANI, it was said in the meeting that, ‘This is not the time to express personal views, but is the time to clarify the official attitude of the party. We are a democratic party, and people keep expressing their opinion, but this time Tharoor has crossed the Laxman Rekha.
A senior leader said that some leaders are making different statements, the high command should intervene in it. It was said in the meeting that Operation Sindoor has done the country’s defense force, so no political party can make a special claim on it, as the BJP is making.
CWC said in its proposal- Nation is united in sorrow and resolve. From time to time, the Indian armed forces have come forward with valor, protecting the sovereignty and integrity of our nation. Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, Priyanka Gandhi and other members and leaders of CWC were present in the meeting held at the Congress headquarters in Delhi.
On May 8, Shashi Tharoor praised the central government
On May 8, Operation Sindoor Tharoor described the press briefing held by the Government of India on Operation Sindoor as a strong message for Pakistan and the world.
He had said that the presence of Foreign Secretary Vikrant Misri, Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh in briefing proved that this fight is not a Hindu-Muslim, but India’s unity against terror.
Tharoor had said that we do not want war, but India is ready if Pakistan provokes. Strike was done only after 1 pm so that the citizens would not be harmed.
Target was just terrorist base, not Pak Army or Government Institute. India took accurate action to avenge the death of 26 innocent citizens.
Tharoor had said about the support of India after Pakistan that France, Russia and Israel have supported India’s right to self -defense, while China has also advised restraint and dialogue.
