Committee of Supreme Court of Brazil convicted Bolsonaro for an attempt to counted

Most of the members in a committee of Supreme Court judges of Brazil voted in favor of convicting former President Zayer Bolsonaro on Thursday despite the 2022 election defeat.

Between 2019 and 2022, the right -wing leader who ruled Brazil was found guilty in five cases by three members of the five -judge committee. On Thursday, Carmen Lucia gave a new verdict, while a day earlier another judge Louis Fux expressed disagreement and voted for the former President to acquit all the allegations. Only one judge is pending for voting.

After the voting of all five judges, the committee will decide on the punishment of Bolsonaro, which may be punished for decades. The seventy -year -old former President is currently under house arrest. His lawyers have said that they will appeal against the decision to the Supreme Court of 11 judges.
