General Aseem Munir held the post of Army Chief of Pakistan on 29 November 2022.

Dissatisfaction among the core commanders over the leadership of Army Chief General Asim Munir is so deep that he has openly questioned the decisions. Munir is getting posters in his support
Munir had to get his posters in Islamabad to show public support. Such scenes were never seen in Pakistan before. Munir is also accused of benefiting the family as soon as he becomes an army chief.
Munir is considered to be adamant on his religious views and not tolerate opposition. Some senior Pakistan officials say that Munir used to go out of the room when there was a debate. They want to establish themselves as a powerful leader.

Tensions in states, Khyber and Balochistan made distance from war
Pakistan is also burning in the fire of internal confrontation. The border states like Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have separated themselves from the war. There is a common belief in these areas that it is not Pakistan, but a battle of the Punjabi Army.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: The people of this province believe that the Pakistani army has been raising terrorists for decades. Now that the whole country is suffering the brunt of that policy, the army is overturning. Common people say that making distance from terrorist policy is nothing but showing.
Balochistan: Baloch nationalists have also said that the Pak government and the army never considered Balochistan as their part. Far from the share of natural resources, we were not even understood by citizens. We have nothing to do with the battle of the army.
Wife’s relative made the home minister of the country
General Aseem Munir is accused that he gave Mohsin Naqvi an important position. He is a relative of Munir’s wife Iram Asim. Mohsin Naqvi currently has two posts. He has the responsibility of the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Home Minister of the country. For both these responsibilities, Mohsin has neither expertise nor any experience.
Mohsin Naqvi was made the Home Minister of Pakistan in March 2024.
Munir’s maternal uncle interfere in government appointments
Syed Babar Ali Shah is the maternal uncle of General Munir. He has become an unannounced center of Islamabad’s power since the beginning of 2023. His role is seen in government appointments to promotion and awards. He is also said to be interfering in the appointment of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) former DG Ahmed Isaac Jahangir.
Cousin sister manager was made CEO
Munir’s cousin Hazra Suhail was a scholarship manager in the year 2022. Pakistan was working in Education Endowment Fund. This institution is under the Ministry of Education.
In January 2023, the Ministry of Education started the appointment process of the new CEO. An order came to stop the process from the Prime Minister’s Office. It was clearly said that the name would come from the General Headquarters.
The then Education Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain objected, but had to retreat. Hazra could not be made directly CEO. Therefore, in August 2023, he was suddenly given the entire command by making him a general manager. The post of CEO was kept vacant for this.
Hazra Suhail is the maternal sister of Pakistani General Aseem Munir.
