CM Mann between the flood crisis in Punjab has written a letter to Modi in which he has told the Center to issue the outstanding fund of Punjab. He demanded the fund of Rs. 60,000 crore rupees from the Central Government for immediate release of Rs. 60,000 crore.
CM said that 9 districts were affected far and more than 1,000 villages were flooded and millions of people have been affected. About 3 lakh acres of agricultural land has drowning. ਹੜ੍ਹ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਅਸਰ ਗੁਰਦਾਸਪੁਰ, ਕਪੂਰਥਲਾ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ, ਪਠਾਨਕੋਟ, ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ, ਫਾਜ਼ਿਲਕਾ, ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰਪੁਰ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The Chief Minister appealed to PM that the SDRF rules not be made to be made by the SDRF rules so that the farmers were able to compensate a per acre. CM Mann also clarified that the Punjab government is ready to give Rs 50,000 to the farmers to compensate for the farmers but therefore the Center is essential.
