Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will now go to Japan. His visit will start from tomorrow and will last for 10 days. During this period, he will invite Japanese industrialists to an industrial summit organized by the Punjab government and invite top Japanese companies to invest in Punjab.
The Punjab government is keen to work with Japan, especially in key areas such as advanced machinery manufacturing, automotive technology, electronics, food processing, solar energy and other new energy technologies. Three days ago, the Chief Minister held an online meeting with a large Japanese delegation along with Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora. It included representatives of the Japanese Embassy, JETRO, JCCII, and more than 25 leading Japanese companies operating in India, such as Panasonic, Sumitomo, Nippon, NEC, and Toyota.
The Government of Punjab is expanding its global reach ahead of the 6th Progressive Punjab Investor Summit to be held on March 13-15, 2026 at ISB Mohali. During the summit, Invest Punjab showcased how it is integrating various departments to provide a platform to promote business in the state. This model is called Invest Punjab Unified Regulatory Model.
