Cloudburst in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh caused havoc, three people missing

In Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, three people were swept away in a sudden flood due to cloudburst on Wednesday and several houses, one school building, contact roads and small bridges were damaged. The officers provided this information.

There were three incidents of cloudburst in Jeeva Nala and Rehla Bihal in Sainj in Kullu district and Shilgarh in Gadsa region. Officials said that three people trying to get goods out of their homes in Rehla Bhi were swept away and were missing.

Additional District Commissioner (ADC) Ashwini Kumar of Kullu said that there was a sudden flood in Manali and Banjar in the district. The team is present on the spot and the search campaign continues.

A sudden flood in Brahma Ganga drain in Manikaran Valley has also been reported. The water level has reached many houses and if it does not reduce quickly, it can cause damage. Several videos of heavy floods in many places in Kullu have seen havoc marks.

In a video, a vehicle is seen flowing in mud filled water. Banjar MLA Surinder Shourie said, “It has been raining heavy since morning and I have received many calls that the rain has caused damage in Sainz, Tirthan and Gadsa. I have asked the administration to take quick action because people are upset. ”

The water level of Beas and Sutlej rivers has increased. In addition, Lahaul and Spiti police said that road landslides from Kaja to Samdoh have been blocked in many places due to landslides, falling debris and drains.
