Japan has asked China to stop flying its fighter aircraft close to Japanese reconnaissance aircraft. According to Japan, China is constantly doing this and it can cause conflict.
The Ministry of Defense of Japan said that on Wednesday and Thursday, the Chinese ‘JH-7’ fighter-year-old aircraft flew from the Japan ‘Air Self-Defense Force’ near the ‘YS-11 EB’ ‘Electronic-Intelligence Aircraft’.
The ministry said the incident occurred over the Eastern China Sea, although it was not Japanese airspace and it did not cause any damage to the Japanese side. China did not comment on this immediately.
Earlier, China had alleged that Japanese aircraft were flying close to its aircraft and monitoring China’s military activities and asked Japan to close these activities.
Japan’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued late on Thursday that Deputy Minister Takhiro Funakoshi expressed “serious concern” to the Chinese Ambassador Wu Jianghao present in Japan and asked China to stop such activity.
According to the statement, Japan said that such an action of China ‘confrontation can erupt’, as well as urged China to ensure that such actions are not re -taken.
