China’s government media said on Tuesday that the death toll in China has increased to 34. Government broadcaster CCTV said that by midnight, 28 people died in Beijing affected Miun district and two in Yanking district. Both are the outskirts of the city, which are away from the city center.

Heavy floods in Miun, situated on the border of Luanping County of Hebei, shed cars and dropped electric poles.
