Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended the inauguration ceremony of ‘Delhi Premier League’ at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium on Saturday and said that the event is a platform for the emerging talent of the city.
He was accompanied by Rohan Jaitley, president of ‘Delhi District Cricket Association’, Rajiv Shukla, Vice President of the Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI) and former Union Minister Smriti Irani.
He said in a post on ‘X’, “This city does not only play cricket… it has won it. There is a champion in every colony here, every park lives a memory and every child dreams with a bat in his hand. ”
The Chief Minister congratulated all the teams participating in the second edition of the Delhi Premier League and called upon the players to perform their best and said that their performance would be proud for the city. He said that this match is helping Delhi emerging as a group of talented players of cricket.
