Chief Minister Nitish Kumar launched Hero Asia Hockey Cup-2025

Patna. Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar today inaugurated the Hero Asia Hockey Cup-2025 at Hockey Stadium in Rajgir Sports Complex in Nalanda district. The Chief Minister paid floral tributes on the portrait of hockey magician Major Dhyanchand. During the program, the Chief Minister visited the Rajgir Hockey Stadium and accepted the greetings of the audience and players. In the packed hockey stadium from the audience, sports lovers shook hands before the Chief Minister and showed their enthusiasm. The Chief Minister met the players of both countries and encouraged them before the match between India and China. During this time the national anthem of India and China was sung. The Chief Minister also took collective photographs with players from India and China.

It is known that the Hero Asia Hockey Cup 2025 has been launched today on the occasion of ‘National Sports Day’ (the birth anniversary of hockey magician Major Dhyanchand). The men, Japan, China, Malaysia, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Bangladesh and Chinese Taipei are participating in the men’s Hockey Asia Cup-2025. All the matches of the event will be played at the Hockey Stadium of the International Sports Complex in Rajgir, which will conclude on 7 September. Trophy Gaurav Yatra was taken out in various districts of Bihar and various states of the country with the aim of spreading the message of hockey to the people. A total of 24 matches will be played by the final match to be held on September 7, 2025.

Before the program, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inspected the site of the Cricket Stadium under construction at the Rajgir Sports Complex. In the course of inspection, the Chief Minister reviewed the progress and update situation of construction work of Rajgir Cricket Stadium under construction. On the 5th floor of the Cricket Stadium under construction, the Chief Minister visited the stadium and the audience to sit from above. During this time, complete information was taken regarding the current status of the construction work of the cricket stadium and the facilities to be provided. During this time, officials said that in this cricket stadium, construction work is being ensured keeping in mind the basic facilities of the players and audience, media gallery as well as all kinds of needs. The Chief Minister gave instructions to the officers and said that keeping in mind every necessary facility and safety of the players and spectators, they should do better construction work.
