Chief Minister Dhami visited the rain -affected areas of Haridwar, met affected families

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the rain -affected areas of Haridwar district on Tuesday and passed on a tractor and passed through the damaged roads and submerged fields to take stock of the situation. For the last few days, various districts of the state including Haridwar have been receiving heavy rains.

Dhami also met the affected families, inquired about their needs and assured them of all possible help. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Pradeep Batra from Roorkee, Haridwar District Magistrate Mayur Dixit and Senior Superintendent of Police Pramendra Doval were also with the Chief Minister.

Dhami instructed the district administration and disaster management officials to expedite relief and rehabilitation work in rain -affected areas. He said that all arrangements for safety, stay, food and healthcare of the affected people should be made.

He clarified the officials that no negligence in relief work would be tolerated. The Chief Minister said, the state government stands with every affected citizen in this hour of crisis. We will provide all possible assistance and rescue operations will be given priority. Every family affected by the disaster will be provided as much help by the government.

The Chief Minister said that relief camps should be set up with adequate food, water and medicines and families who need to move should be sent to safe places.

He said that the compensation process should be started soon by assessing the damage done to crops. Dhami said that medical facilities should also be provided by organizing health camps as required.
