Chief Justice BR Gawai on a three -day official visit to Mauritius

Chief Justice (CJI) BR Gavai met Mauritius President Dharambir Gokhul on Thursday and discussed the multidimensional India-Mauritius partnership. During this time, strong educational partnership and relations were also discussed between the judicial institutions of the two countries.

The Supreme Court said in a statement that Chief Justice Gavai is on a three -day official visit to Mauritius. CJI Gawai also met Mauritius Prime Minister Naveen Chandra Ramgulam.

It said that CJI Gawai and his family attended the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations at the Mahatma Gandhi Institute in Mauritius and paid floral tributes to the Father of the Nation on his birth anniversary. The statement said that CJI is on an official visit to Mauritius on the invitation of Mauritius Chief Justice Rehana Bibi Mungli-Gulbul.
