A police official said that the incident took place at around eight o’clock this morning when a person named Pramod Kakem went to bathe in a reservoir near Gunjeperti village in Usur police station area. He said that Kakem, a resident of Ilmedi police station area, came to his relative in Gunjeperti.

Officials said he inadvertently came in contact with the pressure bomb, causing the bomb explosion. Officials said that his palms had suffered injuries. He said that initial treatment of the injured person was done and for better treatment, he was admitted to the Community Health Center in Usur.

Police officials said that on Monday, a 50 -year -old man who went to graze cattle in the forest adjacent to the priest Kanker village was injured in a similar incident. Maoists often place landmine on raw routes to target security personnel during anti -Naxal operations in the forests.
