Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inspected the Yamuna river in Laxmi Nagar, Delhi before the Chhath Puja festival. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta told ANI that Chhath Puja will be celebrated at the Yamuna Ghats and we are fully committed to ensure that this year Delhiites get an opportunity to celebrate this beautiful and historic Chhath festival. He further said that we will build Chhath Ghats from Palla to the last corner of Okhla, a densely populated area of ​​the Yamuna river.

Rekha Gupta also said that the government will build about 1000 Chhath Ghats for the festival and the cleanliness of this festival and all arrangements will be the responsibility of the Delhi government. He further said that Yamuna will never be dirty due to Chhath, it is a sacred festival of cleanliness and it connects people with nature. Our government is ready to deal with any kind of problem during Chhath Puja. On Monday, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that Chhath Puja will be grand in the national capital this year and arrangements will be made on both sides of the Yamuna river. He said that the cleanliness of the ghats will be noted.
He said that to make the Chhath Puja festival historic, this year we will make a detailed plan and preparations for it. Chhath Puja will be arranged on both sides of the river. Cleaning of ghats will be noted. Earlier, during his address address, PM Modi had said that Chhath Puja will be grand in Delhi this year. The PM said that the Government of India is working to include Chhath Mahaparva in UNESCO’s intangible cultural heritage list.
