Giving assurance to the farmers of Sassi Brahmana, Sassa Gujran, Dharmerhi, Bhagwan Pura, Chetan Singh Jaudamajra said that a pipeline will be laid up to Mirapur Chow to stop rainwater flooding in this area and to drain the water. He said that the Punjab government will compensate the loss caused to the farmers due to nature’s calamity.
Chetan Singh Jaudamajra said that according to the decision of the Chief Minister, if the crop loss is more than 75 percent, then the state government will compensate the farmers at the rate of Rs. 15,000 per acre and if the loss is between 33 to 75 percent, then Rs. 6,750 per acre. In addition to giving compensation according to the calculation, 10 percent compensation will also be given to the workers, so that they do not face any financial difficulties.

Apart from this, Rs 95,100 will be given as compensation for the loss of entire houses, while Rs 5,200 will be given for minor damage to houses.
The cabinet minister said that the farmers’ crops will be assessed in a transparent manner by the officials in meetings between the farmers and only in a transparent manner, adequate compensation will be given. He met the people in different villages and said that he always stands with the farmers, laborers and common people of his constituency and will serve the people in the same way in the future.
