Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary of Mandsaur district has become a new house of cheetahs. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav left two cheetahs named Pavak and Prabhas in the sanctuary enclosure on Sunday evening. As soon as the cage opened, both the cheetahs ran in the enclosure.

CM Dr. Mohan Yadav opened the gate by pressing the liver of the cage. After which a cheetah came out and ran. He stopped a little distance, then looked back. Shortly, CM opened the second cage gate. The cheetah did not come out immediately. The cage had to be pushed from behind. After which he came out and ran.
The second cheetah reached the first standing leopard, then both of them started a walk. Both proceeded in the enclosure. Sometimes we would stop, look back, then move forward.
Both Pavak and Prabhas have been brought to Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary from Koono National Park. Male leopards Pavak and Prabhash are around 6-6 years old. Both of them were brought from South Africa on 18 February 2023. Both are real brothers.

Both leopards reached 8 hours of traveling The team left for Gandhi Sagar at 8 am on Sunday morning from Kuno National Park in Sheopur district, which reached Gandhi Sagar at around 4 pm. Both were tranquilized and kept in the cage. These are the same cages that were designed to bring cheetahs from South Africa.
Both were placed in different cages in an air-conditioned vehicle. These leopards reached Gandhi Sagar without stopping 360 kilometers in 8 hours via Kota, Jhalawar in Rajasthan. Here they were released into a 6 sq km enclosure.

Arrangement to settle 8-10 cheetahs in sanctuary In Gandhi Sagar Sanctuary, the Forest Department has prepared a special area of ​​8900 hectares for cheetahs. Arrangements have been made to settle 8 to 10 cheetahs here. The sanctuary for the food of cheetah has more than 150 chital, more than 80 chinkara, more than 50 white boards and more than 50 Nilgai. Apart from this, there is already a large number of deer.

Now 24 leopards will be left in Kuno After these two cheetahs left from Kuno National Park, there are 24 leopards here. These include 13 Indians while 11 are foreign leopards. 17 out of these 24 leopards are currently running in the open forest of Kuno National Park.
