An FIR has been lodged against Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh and four others at Cantt police station in Varanasi. This action has been taken after the court order. On August 19, the Chief Judicial Magistrate directed the police to register a case on the complaint of hotelier Vishal Singh. A case was registered 14 days later.The businessman has accused four people including Pawan Singh, Prem Shankar Rai and his wife Seema Rai of cheating Rs 1.5 crore. He also alleged that when he asked for his money back, he was threatened with death.The police have now started investigating the case, checking the funding related to bank accounts and film. Pawan Singh’s statement will be recorded soon.

Shivakant Mishra, in -charge of the Cantt police station of Varanasi, said that the case has been registered on Wednesday on the order of the court. Ashish Singh, a lawyer to Varanasi businessman Vishal Singh, said that his client has been cheated in the name of investment in the film boss released in 2018.He told that in the year 2017, Vishal met film director Prem Shankar Rai in Mumbai, after which he met many people in connection with making the film. The lawyer said that during this time Vishal was urged to invest in the film production and in turn promised to share in profits. Ashish said that Vishal’s meeting was also held with Pawan Singh during this period.
The lawyer said that Vishal came in a bluff and deposited about Rs 32.60 lakh from his brother’s company in different accounts. He said that in July 2018, Vishal was declared the producer of the film and promised to give 50 percent profit, after which Vishal imposed more than Rs 1.25 crore in the production of the film. The lawyer said that the investor was not later given a share of his profit when the film ran.

Vishal alleges that Pawan Singh also threatened to kill him when he asked for a share. The victim complained to the Cantt police station and the Commissioner of Police in this case. He turned to the court for not taking action by the police. The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (II), while hearing the case, ordered the Cantt police to register a case of ghokhaddi against four people, including Pawan Singh.
