This time in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, all eyes are on Chhapra seat. Chhapra is one of the hottest seats among the 243 seats in Bihar. Famous Bhojpuri cinema singer and actor Khesari Lal Yadav has contested the elections from Chapra seat. Khesari Lal Yadav has been made its candidate by Rashtriya Janata Dal. Although the party had earlier given ticket to Khesari’s wife, later Khesari has been made the candidate from this seat. In such a situation, now Khesari Lal Yadav’s efforts will be to demolish the fort of BJP. But their path is not going to be so easy.
Since 2010, Chhapra assembly seat of Bihar has been continuously in BJP’s account. In the year 2020, CN Gupta defeated RJD candidate on BJP ticket. But this time BJP expressed confidence in Chhoti Kumari. She is a local BJP leader from Bihar. Whereas Jansuraj has placed his bet on Jai Prakash Singh. Voting on Chhapra seat is to be held in the first phase i.e. on 06 November 2025. The counting of votes will take place on 14 November 2025.

Competition between 10 candidates
Let us tell you that there is a contest between a total of 10 candidates on this seat. Apart from BJP, RJD and Jansuraj, Bharatiya Lok Chetna Party, Azad Samaj Party and Bharatiya Ekta Dal have fielded their candidates. Apart from this, four independents are also in the fray from this seat. However, the real contest is between RJD and BJP. But Jansuraj can also make an impact in this election.
Khesari’s reputation at stake
Khesari Lal Yadav is a big face from here as RJD candidate. This time Khesari’s credibility will be at stake from this seat. Because BJP has won the last two elections from this seat and as per the strategy, this time the candidate has been changed and the ticket has been given to a local leader. In such a situation, Khesari’s path may be a bit difficult. There were close fights here in the years 2015 and 2020. However, on both the occasions, BJP’s CN Gupta and RJD’s Randhir Kumar Singh were defeated. In such a situation, Khesari Lal Yadav can get the benefit of his popularity and can win the elections.
