Champion Team India will reach Delhi after excellent performance, will meet PM Modi

The Women’s World Cup 2025 concluded with Indian women winning their first title. India created history by performing brilliantly by defeating South Africa women in the final match of the tournament held at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy on 2 November. The entire nation rejoiced as the team led by Harmanpreet Kaur created history. With this win, the team is now expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. According to sources, the Indian team will go to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Modi on November 4 or 5.

In the World Cup final, India batted first and scored 298 runs in the first innings. After this, the team bowled brilliantly and restricted South Africa to 246 runs and won the match by 52 runs and won its first Women’s World Cup title. Soon after India’s victory was assured, Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter to congratulate the women’s team for their historic achievement. He also talked about how this victory will inspire the coming generation to take up sports.

Prime Minister Modi tweeted, “A spectacular victory for the Indian team in the final of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Their performance in the final was full of amazing skill and confidence. The team showed exceptional teamwork and tenacity throughout the tournament. Congratulations to our players. This historic victory will inspire future champion teams to take up the Games.”After their historic win, the team celebrated late into the night. The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) shared several videos and pictures of the players celebrating with their families, which was also attended by former players like Anjum Chopra, Jhulan Goswami and Mithali Raj.
