Chairman of Mandi Board meeting with farmers

Chandigarh, March 25, 2023 – Punjab Mandi Board Chairman Harchand Singh Burst last evening held a meeting with the office bearers of Aarti Association Punjab (Reg.) regarding the difficulties faced by them. During the meeting, the Aarthi informed the Chairman about many problems related to FCI. Apart from this, many other difficulties were enumerated.

The Chairman assured that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is committed to the welfare of every section of the society and meaningful efforts will be made to overcome the problems of Aartis. He said that due to the neglect of previous governments, proper development of mandis could not take place, but now, taking instructions from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, many beneficial schemes will be brought keeping the proper development of mandis and people’s interests at the fore.
Burst assured the Aarthi community that in the future decisions taken by the Punjab Mandi Board, the opinion of Aarthis will also be taken and no decision will be enforced. In the meeting Ravinder Singh Cheema President, Harjit Singh Baru Vice-Chairman, Rajinder Kumar Arora and Jaswinder Singh Rana both general secretaries along with representatives of Aartis from different districts of the state were present.
