CGC University, Mohali gave flight to new thinking through VentureVault Season-2

Mohali — As a grand celebration of innovation, entrepreneurship and visionary vision, CGC University, Mohali proudly organized VentureVault Season-2 — which proved to be a unique platform for entrepreneurial talent and transformative ideas. The event became the premier platform for aspiring innovators and ‘industry experts’ to showcase their creativity, courage and determination, which resonates with the national vision of Developed India @2047 — a vision of a self-reliant and innovation-centric India.

Mr. Saurabh Dwivedi (Founder, The Llantop), Sahil Vohra (Founder, The Natural Co.) and Dinesh Dhiman (CEO, Sonalika Tractors) were the chief guests on this occasion. He highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship through his inspirational addresses, emphasizing the country’s economic growth, new employment opportunities and establishing India as a world-class innovation hub.

This event was made even more special. Pritpal Singh (Executive Director, Punjab State Council for Science and Technology), Dr. Dapinder Kaur Bakshi (Joint Director, PSCST), Shri Dipinder Dhillon (Joint Director, Startup Punjab), Saurabh Jain (Advisor, Paytm), Bharti Sood (Senior Regional Director, PhD Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Samti Ishita Thaman (Deputy Director, Ministry of MSME, Government of India), Divita Juneja (Actor, Heer Express), Mr. Hans Michael Gulich (Director, Stanford International University, Thailand), Dr. Ulrike Gullich (Team Lead, Global Entrepreneurship Network, Thailand), Dr. Special guests like Fathinul Syehir bin Ahmed Saad (Director, University Malaysia Perlis), Ravi Sharma (General Secretary, TIE Chandigarh), Somveer Anand (CEO, TIE Punjab) and Chef Jaspreet Singh Devgun (TV Host and Josh Talks Speaker) graced the event with their presence.

Renowned entrepreneurs from Shark Tank India (Season 1 to 4) also participated in the event and through their experiences inspired the youth to turn their ideas into successful ventures.

This year’s edition featured 60+ startup showcases, 30+ investor participation and funding opportunities of up to ₹40 crore. Special keynote sessions, panel discussions, masterclasses and mentorship interactions were held during the event. More than 500 students from across the country participated in the 24-hour hackathon, while 300+ students from more than 25 schools in Punjab and Haryana presented their ideas at the Young Innovators Showcase. The top performing teams were awarded cash prizes of ₹1 lakh by the university.
