The Central Zone, captained by Rajat Patidar, defeated South Zone by 6 wickets in the final to win the Duleep Trophy 2025 title. The Central Zone achieved the distinction of becoming the champion of the Duleep Trophy cricket tournament after a gap of 11 years by beating South Zone by six wickets. The Central Zone had a 65 -run target of 65 runs but the bowlers of South Zone took a tough test of their batsmen. The target was not very big and in such a situation the Central Zone did not have much trouble in achieving it. Akshay Wadkar (19 not out, 52 balls) and first innings century Yash Rathore (13 runs, 16 balls) were at the crease when the central region scored 66 runs for four wickets in 20.3 overs and won its seventh title in the Dalip Trophy.
