CDS Anil Chauhan’s big statement on China, said- Border dispute biggest challenge for India

Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Friday described China as the ‘biggest challenge’ for India and said that it will remain further. He said this while speaking at an event in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. The CDS described the pseudonym war being launched by Pakistan as a ‘second major challenge’ for India and said that challenges in front of any country are not transient, but are present in various forms. He said that I believe the border dispute with China is the biggest challenge for India and will continue even further. The second major challenge is Pakistan’s pseudo -war against India, whose strategy is ‘bled India with thousands of wounds’.

General Chauhan also described regional instability as a matter of concern and said that all neighboring countries of India are facing social, political or economic unrest. He said that another challenge is that the areas of war have changed – now it also includes cyber and space. General Chauhan said that both our rival nuclear power is rich, and it will always be a challenge to decide what kind of campaigns we want to run against them.

In his address, CDS General Chauhan further said that during Operation Sindoor, the armed forces had complete operational freedom including planning and selection. He said that the purpose of Operation Sindoor was not to ‘avenge the terrorist attack’, but to set the boundary of patience of the country. He said it was a multi-regional campaign, including cyber war. Coordination and joint mobilization between military branches was an important aspect of this.
