Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said on Friday that India’s border dispute with China is one of the biggest challenges for the country. Addressing a gathering in Gorakhpur, he said that China’s border dispute remains the biggest challenge, while Pakistan’s pseudo -war against India is the next big issue. He further said that Islamabad’s strategy has always been ‘bled to billy give India a thousand wounds’.

Anil Chauhan told the attendees that challenges in front of countries are not transient; They are present in various forms. I believe that the border dispute with China is the biggest challenge for India and will continue. The second major challenge of Pakistan is a pseudo -war against India, whose strategy is ‘bled India with thousands of wounds’. He said that another challenge is that the areas of war have changed – now it includes cyber and space. Both our rival nuclear power is rich, and it will always be a challenge to decide what kind of campaigns we want to run against them.

The apex military officer also spoke on Operation Sindoor against Pakistan in May, in which India targeted the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied by Pakistan in response to the 22 April Pahalgam attack.
