Famous for his role in Marco, Malayalam actor Unni Mukundan is facing legal trouble, as the Kakknad Judicial First Class Magistrate Court has called him to appear in court on October 27 in the case of assault by his former PR manager Vipin Kumar. This summary has been issued after the police investigation in which adequate evidence including about 10 minutes of CCTV footage, statements of witnesses, circumstantial evidence and mobile tower location data were collected. Earlier, some media institutions had falsely claimed that there was no evidence of attacks or CCTV footage. However, the police investigation confirmed the complaint with clear evidence.

The charge sheet was filed under sections 115 (2), 126 (2), 296 (b), 351 (2) and 324 (4), which relates to crimes such as the victim’s entry into the flat premises, to enter, abuse, abuse, kill, threaten to kill and damage the property (especially the victim’s sunglasses). These allegations are bound, and is expected to apply for bail by Unni under a regular legal process. Earlier, in response to Vipin’s complaint, Unni held a press conference and claimed that he did not harm Vipin and if it was proved that it was not, he would quit acting. He also alleged that Vipin was not his manager. At a press conference held in Kochi, Unni clarified that there was no physical attack and the dispute was incorrectly presented.
