A case has been registered against a teenager for sharing objectionable videos of a minor girl in Navi Mumbai on social media. The police gave this information on Wednesday.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Kaif Akram Sah, who contacted a minor girl through a video call on the social media forum Instagram.
The FIR states, during this video call, he made a video of the girl while bathing without the permission of the girl. He then used this video clip to demand sex with the victim. When the victim refused to do so, she posted the video on social media.
Rabale MIDC police registered a case under various sections of the Indian Justice (BNS), defamation and criminal intimidation, children’s protection (Poxo) Act and Information Technology (IT) Act after the girl lodged a complaint on June 23 by the girl. The official said that no arrest has been made yet and the investigation of the case is going on.
