More than 20 states in the US and the Attorney generals of Washington DC filed a suit in the federal court on Tuesday, challenging the reduction of billions of dollars in the grant from the Trump administration.

In the case filed in Boston, the judge has been requested to stop the Trump administration from cutting the grant. The trial states that the administration has canceled various programs and thousands of grants using a vague stream of federal regulation from life, which were earlier provided to states and grant recipients. The litigants argued that, the decision to use the section to abolish the grant by based on the changed priorities is illegal.
