Police and health department team reached to investigate shop in Faridkot
As part of the state government’s anti -drug campaign in Faridkot, the District Police and Health Department seized toffees with cannabis mixture from a college road shop on an information. They are being sealed and sent to the lab of the Health Department. Next action on lab report

According to the information, the Faridkot police had received information that Dogar Basti, a resident of Dogar Basti, who runs a shop near Sethi Chowk on the college road, is being sold into drugs at his shop.

On the instructions of SSP Dr. Pragya Jain, other police officers including SP Sandeep Vadhera reached the spot and called Drug Inspector Harjinder Singh on the spot to investigate the shop. Meanwhile, District Ayurvedic Unani Officer Dr. Amita Gupta also reached the spot.
During the investigation, the toffees were seized which have been sealed and the sample is being sent for investigation. Further action will be taken after receiving the report. In this case, Dr. Amita Gupta said that 400 mg of cannabis is written in 5 grams of toffee, the correct quantity of which will be known from the lab test report. He said that the consumption of cannabis is dangerous for every small and big.
