In the Punjab government, Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal on Saturday made a surprise visit to the grain mandis of his constituency Ajnala and took stock of the crop procurement system of farmers. During this time he examined the moisture of wheat bags and the people present in the mandis

Dhaliwal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the state government is committed to all possible assistance to the farmers and no farmers, laborers or agents will be allowed to face any problem in the mandis.

Determinated deadline for purchase, payment and lift
The cabinet minister gave clear instructions to the officials:
- 24 hour Government auction of dry crops brought in, should be ensured,
- 48 hours Payed within,
- And 72 hours The crop purchased within should be lifted.
Dhaliwal said that these guidelines will be strictly followed, so that the arrival and withdrawal of the crop in the mandis can be smoothly.

Congratulations on bumper crop to farmers
While wishing the farmers for this year’s bumper crop, Minister Dhaliwal said that the wheat that has reached the mandis till now is of good quality and the weather has also remained favorable. He visited the mandis of Ajnala, Chamiyari, Awan and Reform and conducted special inspection of the facilities of farmers and laborers.
He said that the market of Ajnala, which he has developed by his own efforts, is not only useful at the time of crop purchasing, but in the remaining months this place becomes the center of community activities for local residents.
